POETRY WRITING &CONTENT CREATION
Amgad El-Kahwagi devoted a large part of his creative journey to writing poetry, and he is considered one of the distinctive poetic voices in the contemporary Egyptian cultural scene. He received a fellowship for artistic dedication from the Egyptian Ministry of Culture in 2004 at the beginning of his poetic project.
He worked as a trainee journalist in Al-Dostour newspaper in 2005.
His poems, literary articles, and blog posts were published and received attention from critics and readers due to their unique stylistic touches that combine simplicity with philosophical depth.
He also played an active role in organizing workshops for teaching poetic and literary writing, targeting a new generation of creatives. These workshops extended to independent cultural spaces and art centers, starting from the city of Mansoura, where he shared his experience in poetic structure and expressive techniques in an interactive framework that encourages experimentation and openness.
The majority of El-Kahwagi’s works remain unpublished, as he chose non-traditional methods of publishing, such as blogs, websites, and presenting poems in his live performances or through the bands he writes lyrics for.
His colloquial poetry collections include: "Hena Maqass w Hena Maqass", "Leil Babah w Khadra", and "Diwan El-Manshorat".
And in Classical Arabic: "Aziz Al-Sirr".
