Artistic career began in 2002, and over more than twenty years, provide lyrics for more than 100 songs in both Egyptian colloquial and Modern Standard Arabic Collaborated with more than 20 different artists across the Arab world.

Writing and Poetry :

Amgad's poetry attempts to capture the pulse of daily life, saturated with love, nostalgia, and philosophical contemplations.
He wrote his poems as a mirror of contemporary identity and human emotions. He recites his poetry in poetic and motivational performances, using everyday language emerging from cultural depth. Elkahwagi writes with direct passion, addressing themes of love and nostalgia, resistance, and identity.
Memory and time, and he presents through his arts scenes from Egyptian rural life and experiences in mysticism and spiritual contemplation.

Artistic Career:

He began presenting his writing production through Mansoura University Literature Club and the Tuesday Literary Forum and Cultural Café
(2006-2002) Dayy Band for Storytelling and Singing: Amgad Elkahwagi began his artistic career as a professional writer with "Deii" band with other intellectuals like Ashraf Wagdy, Ali Abdel Aziz, Fady Awad, and Zahra El-Attar, where he created content for the band and wrote stories and songs that received interaction from the audience of Mahka Qala'a venue and many culture palace theaters, theaters, and union and independent events.
In 2004, he received a full-time grant from the Supreme Council of Culture as a poet, which gave him the opportunity to produce his first poetry collections. After the grant ended, he began establishing his workshop for crafts and handicrafts, which entered multiple fields such as furniture and decoration, implementing signed exhibitions and implementing advertising tools and others, which provided him with a wide angle for his vision, enriching his artistic and linguistic experience. And allowed his artistic workshop to enter practical fields and the appearance of his applied products.
In 2005, he joined as a trainee journalist to Al-Dustour newspaper.
Haitham Mahfouz and Saba Band (2012-2002 ) The collaboration with composer and singer Haitham Mahfouz continued outside their work in Daw band and they produced artistic works that combine authenticity and contemporaneity as beginnings. Amgad wrote lyrics for Haitham Mahfouz for songs like "Tarzi El-Hay" and "Taht El-Touta" and "Shai El-Thawra" and "Twenty Years" and many others.

Al-Manshurat (Publications) Project: Collaboration with Rami Essam began in 2008 through the "Mashakel" (Problems) band and the "Radio Dawsha" project, but their song production spread rapidly after 2010
(2014-2011) The Publications project was produced as a humanitarian alternative for expression using art and its freedom to discuss the most important contemporary issues in simple and direct language, abandoning the poetry resulting from rhetoric and turning to using revelation and breaking illusion in creating a poetic world and expressing as a poet the dreams and concerns of contemporary Egyptians. He wrote many songs that became part of committed art production in Egypt and the world, expressing Egyptian dreams, and contributed to shaping the artistic identity of musical projects like Rami Essam through lyrics from the Egyptian street. Such as "Live Freedom" which featured several art stars like Asser Yassin, Farah Youssef, Jehan Fadel, Khaled Abou El Naga and others, as well as the song "Letter to the Security Council" and the album MASALLA : "Obelisk" and others
(2016-2023) Hawas (Obsession) Band: With Marwan Anwar and Mahmoud El-Khatib, Amgad provided lyrics for songs that addressed diverse social and humanitarian topics. This collaboration added a new dimension to the band's works and contributed by adding lyrical content that relied on artistic imagery using traditional expressions in songs like "Night" and "My Ribs Are Trees" and "The Sea Told Me" and others.
(2022-2012) Madina Band and Aiemzy Projecst: He collaborated with composer Ahmed Mostafa in Madina projects in songs like "Old Young Men" and Aiemzy in songs that were released on social media platforms and performed in independent theaters such as: "Ebb and Flow" and "Salma's Ghost" and "The Wakeful Eyes" and others.
(2008-2013) ZERO KHAMSIN 050 Project: He collaborated with Osama El-Hadi and "Shaware'" (Streets) group, where Amgad provided lyrics for the project such as "Peace Day" and "A KITE" and participated in reciting some of his poems at the rising band's concerts at that time
(2010-2009) He began working as an editor at 15/3 publishing house, through which he learned about the mechanisms and challenges of book production, printing, publishing, distribution, and participation in exhibitions
Al-Harafesh Band .. He collaborated with artists Fahd Ibrahim and Gamal El-Bagoury, and El-Bagoury composed songs for him in the Pandora band.
(2020-2014) Koheity Band: With Ahmed and Hossam Abdel Nabi and Ahmed Saber in songs like "People's Dream" and "Human" and "Tell Me Who Am I" .

Other Artistic Interests:

Handicrafts and Wood Carving : In addition to poetry and songwriting, Amgad Elkahwagi is interested in handicrafts and wood carving as an expression of artistic ability. This interest shows the visual aspect of his artistic personality and enriches his creative vision in general and his relationship with folk culture as well. Wood carving is Elkahwagi's silent poetry and his work in wood carving includes diverse subjects such as Egyptian and Pharaonic heritage and the present from rural culture in North Africa and the Nile Valley.
